Following the huge success of our first cookbook Crown Street Cooks, Crown Street Public School is thrilled to announce our new tome Crown Street Celebrates! Due for release on 1st November 2019 for our 170th birthday. This beautifully photographed, 200 page cookbook will include over 125 recipes by talented home cooks and big-name chefs from Surry Hills. Packed full of delicious recipes for birthday cakes, sweets, party food, share plates and drinks, that will turn any event into a celebration.

Proudly supported by The Dolphin Hotel and Hotel Harry, Crown Street Celebrates will feature food recipes from Colin Fassnidge (My Kitchen Rules), Bill Granger (Bills), Dan Hong (Merivale), Danielle Alvarez (Fred’s), Maurice Terzini (Icebergs, The Dolphin Hotel), Sujet Saenkham (Spice I Am), Monty Koludrovic (The Dolphin Hotel), Daniel Pepperell (Alberto’s Lounge), Tom Walton (Hotel Harry), Isabelle Cauldfield (Poly), Morgan McGlone (Belles Hot Chicken), Kerby Craig (Bar Ume), plus drinks recipes from Tio’s Cerveceria, Scout Bar, Shady Pines Saloon, Bartolo, Dead Ringer and The Wild Rover.

Curated by Jane Strode and Jeremy Blackmore and produced by an amazing team of creative parents, Crown Street Celebrates is raising much needed funds for this tiny inner-city primary school and supporting the Oasis Youth Support Network. Surry Hills is one of the most densely populated eating hubs in the country, and Crown Street Celebrates is a must-have for anyone who loves food, lives locally or simply enjoy visiting this vibrant inner-city community.
