CROWN STREET COOKS

Released in 2010, our now sold-out first cookbook Crown Street Cooks was so successful it was reprinted in 2011. Featuring recipes from Jane and Jeremy Strode, Bill Granger, Kylie Kwong, Mark Best, Alex Herbert, Luke Nguyen and the school community, our little cookbook sold 7,000 copies. Crown Street Cooks raised much needed funds for our tiny inner-city primary school and $1 from every cookbook was donated to the Salvation Army’s Oasis Youth Support Network in Surry Hills.

The Crown Street Cookbook project encourages children about the importance of fresh, local and sustainable food and I feel honoured to be a part of it.”
- Kylie Kwong, Billy Kwong
Crown Street Cooks recognises the school’s invaluable place in our local community’s history, dating back to 1849, whilst also supporting the future of its immediate and local youth’s future through projects such as its own Kitchen Garden Project and its support of the Salvation Army’s Oasis Youth Support Network.”
